Do you need a calibration with results that are traceable to an international standard? The DEWETRON calibration lab is a calibration laboratory approved by the National Accreditation Body. The applicable requirements regarding competence and equipment are regularly assessed and confirmed by the “Akkreditierung Austria”. The laboratory specializes in electrical quantities.
FACTORY CALIBRATION
Your system is calibrated by our specially trained metrologists to the highest quality standards. As a quality assurance measure, new devices are also factory calibrated before delivery. Although only traceable references are used for this type of calibration, the results are not traceable in the sense of the EA MLA.
WHY CALIBRATION?
Although DEWETRON measurement devices are manufactured to the highest standards using only the best components, the measurement results may change over time. This is completely normal and is due to the ageing of the used parts. To ensure the integrity of your measurement results, it is essential to have your measurement device calibrated at regular intervals. During this process, the measured values of your device are compared with a traceable reference and the deviations are documented.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How often should I calibrate my measurement devices?
In general, the user is responsible for defining the calibration interval. This is usually done based on industry or standard requirements or the user’s own risk analysis regarding the use of the measuring device. DEWETRON recommends annual calibration and maintenance.
What about adjustments – do I have to pay for it?
If deviations are detected during calibration (measured value > 70 % of specification), DEWETRON products will be adjusted free of charge without customer consultation.
Another calibration is then performed to document the “new” status of the product, and the customer gets 2 certificates – one with the results how we received it (“as-found”) and one with the results after the adjustment (“as-left”).
If you do not want us to adjust your device without your approval, please let us know in advance.
Why is it recommended to request an RMA number for sending in devices for calibration?
By filling out the few fields and labeling your package with our RMA number you can help us to decrease the turnaround time a lot.
We can start the internal process immediately without any queries back to you, e.g. your reason for sending this in, your contact details, your detailed shipping and billing address.
